JUNE Q. MOORE MEMBER AWARD

The June Q. Moore Award was established in 1993-94 to honor outstanding members of the Tennessee Cooperative Education Association, their employers and students. The President selects a committee, who then selects the recipient and presents the award at the yearly meeting. The award is named in honor of Ms. June Q. Moore, former Assistant Dean for Cooperative Education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her many years of dedication to all areas of Cooperative Education are a credit to herself, her university, and to the community and state she served so admirably. The award is a tribute to Ms. Moore for her outstanding leadership and service to the profession and TENNESSEE COOPERATIVE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION.

LUMSDEN-SELLERS OUTSTANDING MEMBER AWARD

The Lumsden-Sellers Outstanding Member Award was established in 1990 to honor outstanding members of the Tennessee College Placement Association for exceptional service to TCPA, their employer and their community. The Board of Directors selects the recipient and presents the award to one member each year at the annual conference of TCPA. The award is named in honor of two of the founders of the Tennessee College Placement Association, Howard Lumsden, former Placement Director at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and Ava Sellers, former Placement Director at Vanderbilt University. They initiated the idea of creating a professional association for both employers and universities/colleges involved in placement activities in the state of Tennessee. This award is a tribute to their outstanding leadership and their loyalty and dedication to their profession and to TCPA.

This award may be presented to individuals no longer eligible for active membership due to retirement, resignation, or change of assignment. To be considered for this award one should have been a charter member or a member for the previous five years. Approval for this award will be made by the Board of Directors.
