Mary Claire Dismukes
Middle Tennessee Regional Liaison
Mary Claire Dismukes serves as the Director of the Office of Career & Professional Development at Belmont University. She is passionate about preparing the next generation of career ready talent. She has been a member of TACE since 2015. When not at work, Mary Claire can be found at a youth sporting event with her kids, enjoying a fine meal with her husband or training her pug puppy.
Russ Coughenour
North Central Regional Liaison
Russ Coughenour is the Director of Career Development at Tennessee Technological University and has held numerous leadership positions in the past most recently serving as the President of the Florida Career Centers in 2017-2018. Russ brings nearly 30 years of experience to the world of talent acquisition and career development. In his spare time Russ is an avid golfer, blues and jazz enthusiast while staying busy with his wife Peggy and their two Airedale Terriers.
Jeffrey L. Alston
Northeast Tennessee Regional Liaison
Jeffrey L. Alston serves East Tennessee State University as Director of University Career Services. Jeffrey is active in professional associations including NACE where he currently serves as Co-Chair of the Inclusion, Equity, and Affinity Committee. In his spare time, Jeffrey is an avid traveler (domestic and international) and is always looking for the next adventure.
Christy McDonald Slavick
East Tennessee Regional Liaison
Christy McDonald Slavick has over 10 years’ experience ranging from arts administration to career education. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in American Studies with a concentration in Museum and Material Culture. Before Maryville College, she worked at the George Washington University focusing on career development for liberal arts undergraduates. She networks to provide resources for students interested in obtaining internships, experiential opportunities and jobs that fits students’ various interests.
Mark McCloud
West Tennessee Regional Liaison
Mark McCloud serves the University of Tennessee Martin as Director of Career Planning and Development. He also serves as Director of Diversity and Inclusion for SoACE. While not at work, Mark enjoys listening to jazz, chess, and spending time with his daughter.
